Friend was founded in 2003 as an antidote to the sterility of modern design stores. Their goal is to showcase great products in a warm, open atmosphere.
Friend searches the world for the best design has to offer, both from established as well as emerging talents. Friend carries furnishings and accessories from Herman Miller, Kartell, Vitra, Mud Australia and Alessi, along with local talents Heath, Pablo Lighting, Offi, and Publique Living, to name just a few.
Noted designer Yves Behar of fuseproject developed the store concept and was awarded a bronze medal in 2005 from the IDSA for his efforts.
