4th Street - Berkeley
Fourth Street Shopping is located in Berkeley immediately off the University exit on the 80/580 freeway. This district is distinguished by a very open and accessible area with an incredible array of upscale and unique one-of-a-kind shops along with some favorite chains such as the Crate & Barrel and Dansk outlet stores, Restoration Hardware and the Z Gallerie.

Burlingame - South Bay
Burlingame Avenue is a wonderful long stretch of shops between El Camino Real and California Drive, ranging from very unique to great chains like Pottery Barn. Delightful cafes and restaurants line the street with outdoor dining available at several locations.

Chestnut Street - San Francisco
Chestnut Street is located in the Marina/Cow Hollow area of San Francisco and runs parallel to Union Street and Lombard, about 4 blocks from the Bay. The great mix of neighborhood, trendy and some great chains like Williams-Sonoma make Chestnut Street a great place to shop and hang out. There are many great eateries and quite a gathering in the evening for dining and socializing.

Elmwood District - Berkeley
The Elmwood Shopping Area is located on College Avenue in Berkeley between the U.C. Berkeley University area and the Rockridge Shopping district which straddles Berkeley and Oakland. The shops here are more neighborhood in type and at the same time include great restaurants and coffee shops.

Embarcadero Center - San Francisco
Located in San Francisco's financial district, the beautiful Embarcadero area has great shopping opportunities from some individual and unique type stores to some smaller chains like Bare Escentuals and some National chains like The Gap. In between all the great shops, you will find many fine and casual eating establishments as well as dessert and coffee shops.

Fillmore Street - San Francisco
Fillmore Street holds some of San Francisco's most famous shops and restaurants. This street filled with unique and delightful stores, restaurants and coffee shops stretches from Jackson to Geary on Fillmore Street.

Haight Street - San Francisco
This scene from the sixties in San Francisco carries wonderful funky and eclectic shops along with bike and rollerblading/skating rental shops. Haight is nothing if not colorful and the people up and down the street as well. There are two great parts to Haight - both Upper and Lower Haight Street. Shop awhile and then rent a bike or skates and take trip through the Golden Gate Park.

Los Gatos - South Bay
You're in for a real treat in visiting scenic Los Gatos shopping district. A great selection of mostly unique shops line the beautiful street of Santa Cruz Avenue. The majority of the shopping ranges from West Main Street to Bachman Avenue.

Menlo Park - South Bay
Stretching from El Camino Real to University Drive on Santa Cruz Avenue are many unique and individual shops. Menlo Park District on Santa Cruz Avenue also has several great restaurants and a few coffee shops and casual cafes with outdoor dining.

Mill Valley - North Bay
This quaint shopping area is just as trendy as it is earthy. A great mix of unique, one-of-a-kind shops for your shopping pleasure as well as some very comfortable and even almost famous coffee shops. Stop off at the Book Depot for breakfast, lunch or just coffee and while you're there you can spend time enjoying the books. Mill Valley is home to the first Banana Republic store, which really carried safari type clothing many years ago.

Napa Valley - North Bay

North Beach - San Francisco
It's hard to say which North Beach has more of - great restaurants and outdoor cafes or unique shops up Grant Avenue. Make sure if you're planning to enjoy this shopping district to leave plenty of time for eating and drinking!

Palo Alto - South Bay
University Avenue provides a great long street of shopping and dining. Many unique shops providing a great mix for an enjoyable day of shopping.

Potrero Hill - San Francisco
Very much a neighborhood shopping experience, Potrero Hill district contains a great selection of shops you might not find anywhere else.

Rockridge Shopping District - Oakland
Stretching from Alcatraz to Broadway, the beautiful Rockridge area contains many gourmet and specialty food shops along with many unique clothing, jewelry and children's stores. There are some wonderful coffee houses, each with their own character and reputation. There are also 35 wonderful restaurants from formal to casual, providing a great variety of food choices ranging from Japanese to French and Burgers to Pizza.

Sacramento Street - San Francisco
Stretching from Brodrick to Cherry Street along Sacramento Street you will find a very special shopping district. Wonderful shops like The Deskset, who make custom invitations for that very special gathering to many incredible shops to decorate your home's interior.

Sausalito - North Bay
A favorite for those visiting San Francisco, Sausalito is so very special due to its location right on the water. Don't miss Caledonia Street right behind Bridgeway, though, or you will be missing out on quite a number of unique shops. Don't forget to enjoy yourself in a waterfront restaurant for lunch or dinner.

Shattuck Avenue - Berkeley
Shattuck could almost be said to have two very distinctive parts. There is the part that is situated in downtown Berkeley and then there is the more bohemian and a bit more trendy upper Shattuck, harboring the gourmet ghetto and home to the world renowned Chez Panisse.

Solano Avenue - Berkeley
What a special treat the Solano Avenue district is. Probably little known to other parts of the Bay Area and not a district that is very familiar to those visiting the Bay Area.

Sonoma - North Bay
Everyone should come and enjoy the great shops and restaurants up in wine country. Sonoma Square has a terrific selection of both trendy and country type shops, many with a bit of a wine country influence.

Telegraph Avenue - Berkeley
If you ever traveled through Berkeley in the 60's, you can come back to Telegraph Avenue today and close your eyes, open them and transport yourself back in time. Telegraph Avenue will give you the feeling that time has stood still - the colorful street vendors are still in full color as are many of the locals on the street. Get yourself a tattoo or just sit outside at a cafe and watch the people - it's the best. However, Telegraph Avenue is home to some of the best book and music stores in the world - Rasputin & Amoeba as well as Cody's and Shakespeare & Co. You can even go mainstream and shop at the GAP or buy a cookie at Mrs. Fields. But, if you want a fun afternoon of colorful shopping, make a trip to Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley.

Union Square - San Francisco
World Famous Union Square! What can one say about so many incredible stores all in one place. And now with the square renovated, don't forget to factor in some time to just plunk yourself down on a bench or on the grass and enjoy a beautiful day outdoors, resting your tired feet. You can find just about everything here.

Union Street - San Francisco
Union Street, one of the most favorite and well trafficked shopping areas in San Francisco is nestled between Pacific Heights and the Marina areas. Very upscale, unique, one-of-a-kind shops are typical on this street as well as many well known restaurants. It is also a very social area day and night.
